Postdoctoral fellows
We are interested in candidates who have a deep passion for science, are not afraid of risk or challenging dogma, and want to push the boundaries of knowledge to seek the truth in a collaborative setting. It takes all kinds to solve a complex problem. Those who are classically trained in biochemistry and molecular biology, or have bioinformatics expertise, or have a background in microscopy are especially encouraged to apply.
Postdoctoral fellows in the Laboratory are appointed by the Department of Molecular Biology, MGH, by the Department of Genetics, and Harvard Medical School, on an annual basis. Reappointments may be recommended annually up to a total tenure of three years at the discretion of the supervising faculty member. Reappointments for a fourth year are considered in extraordinary cases. Applicants for departmental postdoctoral fellowships are encouraged to seek outside funding prior to or concurrent with their application to the department. On occasion, a sponsoring faculty member may accept a fellow into the department prior to receipt of outside (non-departmental) funding. In such cases, stipend levels are determined by the sponsoring member and are ordinarily comparable to that of NIH Fellows with an equivalent number of years of postdoctoral research experience. Fellows appointed to the department also receive full health insurance coverage.
Prospective postdoctoral fellows may write directly to us. Correspondence should include a curriculum vitae, list of publications, and three reference names or letters. To contact Professor Lee, please click here.
